By participating, you agree to follow these rules to keep our community safe and welcoming for everyone. 

Age and Safety

1. 1. Adults Only
      This is an 18+ space. No minors are allowed. Anyone found to be under 18 will be banned immediately.

   2. Keep It Legal
      Do not discuss or share information about illegal activities, substances, or anything that could put members at risk.

   3. No Bots or Impersonation
      Fake accounts, bots, or impersonating others are not permitted. Anyone engaging in suspicious behavior will be removed immediately.

Respect and Conduct

1. Respect Everyone
   Be kind and courteous to all members. Bullying, discrimination, or harassment of any kind will result in removal from the chat.

2. Inclusive Language
   Use language that respects everyone’s identity, pronouns, and experiences.

3. No Outing or Doxxing
   Do not share another member’s real name, workplace, or personal details without consent.

4. Handle Disagreements Maturely
   It is okay to disagree, but stay civil. Personal attacks or inflammatory behavior are not welcome.

5. Follow Moderator Instructions
   Admins and moderators help keep this space safe. Follow their guidance when asked.

Consent and Privacy

1. Consent Comes First
   Always ask before sharing content, tagging someone, or engaging directly in a personal or sexual conversation.

2. Respect Privacy
   Never share another member’s messages, photos, or videos without their explicit consent.

3. Report Issues Promptly
   If you experience or witness harassment, unsafe behavior, or rule violations, contact an admin privately.

Content and Posting

1. Keep It Pup Friendly
   This is a pup and kink-positive space. Keep discussions relevant to the community and its shared interests.

2. No Kink Shaming
   All kinks within legal boundaries are welcome. Do not shame, mock, or disrespect others’ interests or relationship dynamics. If something is not for you, simply scroll past.

3. NSFW Content Guidelines
   NSFW material is permitted only in designated threads. Label sensitive content clearly, and never post illegal or non-consensual material.

4. No Spam or Unapproved Promotions
   Promotions and event posts should be relevant to the pup or kink community. Business promotions, fundraisers, or affiliate links require admin approval.

5. No Personal Fundraising
   Personal appeals for donations, such as GoFundMe campaigns or crowdfunding requests for yourself or others, are not permitted. This includes posts seeking financial help, bill payments, or personal aid.

6. Avoid Excessive Off-Topic Posts
   Keep discussions focused on the chat’s topic to ensure conversations stay meaningful.

7. Non-TailWags Events
   Contact a member of the leadership team before posting any external events in the chat. (Additional guidelines are below.)

Enforcement

1. Leadership Authority
   The leadership and admin teams have the final say in enforcing these rules. They may delete posts and warn, mute, or remove anyone who violates them.

TailWags encourages members to share events, products, and services that benefit our pup, kink, and queer community. To keep the chat fair, relevant, and free of spam, please follow these guidelines when posting promotions.

Generally Allowed

You may freely post about:

1. Free community events related to pup play, kink, or queer life in the DMV area (examples: BLUF, DCboL, DC Gaymers)

2. Events with an entry fee that you are personally attending or participating in (examples: a concert, drag show, or local fundraiser)

3. Personal recommendations of pup, kink, or queer products and services you genuinely enjoy, as long as you are not affiliated with or profiting from them (example: sharing a great gear maker or a local kink-friendly barber)

Requires Permission from Leadership

You must receive approval from the leadership team before posting about:

1. Events, products, or services you profit from, represent, or work for.

2. Events or offerings outside the DMV area.

3. Any product or service promotion involving payment, referral links, or affiliate programs.

4. Events that overlap or conflict with TailWags activities or our community partners.

In exchange for these promotions, you may be asked to 

1. Give TailWags members receive a special offer or discount.

2. Cross-promote or support TailWags events and activities.

3. Provide direct or in-kind sponsorship to TailWags.
