Founded in Washington, D.C., in 2024 by Pup Ruby, TailWags was created as a place for like-minded individuals to explore the exciting world of pup play, leather, and kink together. From its simple mission of building a space where the DMV pup and kink community could connect and thrive, TailWags has grown into a vibrant community of over 400 members.
As our community continues to grow, TailWags remains dedicated to celebrating the joys of pup play, kink exploration, leather and rubber culture, and much more. Whether you are new to the scene or a longtime member, there is always room for you at TailWags. No judgment. No pressure. Just a chosen family ready to welcome you exactly as you are.
At TailWags, our mission is to build a supportive, inclusive community where everyone can learn, grow, and connect. We provide fun and educational opportunities that explore pup play, kink, and consent in a safe, respectful space. Through our events, workshops, and outreach, we help people strengthen their bonds, celebrate their authentic selves, and feel proud to be part of the pack.

Photographer
Xepher captures the moments that make TailWags shine — from pride parade to wild Unleashed nights. When he’s not behind the camera, he’s out in the community meeting new pups, lending a paw where he can, and keeping the energy high. Always ready with a smile (and probably a camera), Xepher helps every event look and feel unforgettable.
At TailWags, everyone is welcome in the pack. We celebrate diversity in all its forms including gender, gender expression, gender identity, sexual orientation, sensory, mental, or physical ability, race, color, creed, national origin, religion, citizenship, military status, occupation, or political affiliation.
Everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and in control of their own space. Always ask before touching, even for hugs or playful touching. A “no” or “not now” is final, and consent can be changed or withdrawn anytime. Keep sexual talk or jokes consensual and appropriate for the setting. If you’re not sure someone’s comfortable, just ask or change the subject.
Everyone’s trust matters in our community. Please don’t share other members’ personal information, photos, or messages without their clear consent. Treat each other’s privacy as carefully as you’d want yours respected. This helps keep our space safe, welcoming, and comfortable for all.
We’re all here to have fun and connect and that starts with respect and communication. TailWags takes consent, safe conduct, and privacy seriously. Any behavior that violates our conduct policies, makes others feel unsafe, or disrespects personal boundaries will not be tolerated.
Members or guests who disregard these expectations may be asked to leave an event and could lose membership privileges. Our goal is to protect the safety, comfort, and trust of everyone in the community.
If you have any concerns or questions, contact a leadership member.
Our community thrives when everyone feels safe, seen, and respected.
